I have something to tell you:
Playing by the “rules” is killing you.
You've been taught a bunch of rules that are supposed to guarantee your dream life.
Hustle, work hard, show up all the places..blah blah blah.
I'm just going to skip to the end and tell you that they lied.
You already know they lied, even if you won’t admit it aloud, because you have been following the rules all your life and it still hasn't resulted in you having the life, peace, ease and relationships you want...whether the money came or not.
The rules tell you that if you only cooperate, assimilate, comply and conform, you'll succeed.
The rules tell you that you just need to hustle work harder, be more committed, be more respectable/responsible and more "disciplined"...THEN you'll worthy of success and start winning.
Here's what I know:
NONE of these things make you worthy because you're already worthy.
You can do all of these things and still not have fulfillment, or joy.
You can do all of these things and still be held hostage in a life you hate.
You can do all of these things, and still not be winning.
Because that's not how any of this works.
YOU DON'T NEED RULES...YOU NEED RECLAMATION.
If you've been on the planet for more than 30 seconds, you've been sold the same tired narrative about what makes you worthy: hustle, be disciplined, work hard, show up polished and perfect in all the places..blah blah blah.
I'm just going to skip to the end of the story and tell you that they lied.
You already know they lied, even if you won’t admit it aloud, because you have been already been following the rules all your life and it still hasn't resulted in you having the life, peace, ease and relationships you want...whether the money came or not.
Hard work and hustling are not the keys to success. They don't make you worthy or necessarily lead to success or being wealthy. Plenty of people hustle and work hard their whole lives and never see true success. Too many of them, sadly chase that hard work and hustle lie right into an early grave, never having lived the lives they wanted or deserved.
Playing by "the rules" will have you in debt, copying basic people, and exhausted.
Playing by "the rules" will have you waiting for permission to shine and be out front.
Playing by "the rules" will have you chasing accomplishments, accolades, and all the gurus and tactics into oblivion...even though it doesn't feel good and if you're honest, isn't even working.
These rules tell you that if you only cooperate, comply and conform to the system, you'll succeed.
These rules tell you that you just need to hustle and work harder, be more committed, be more respectable and THEN you'll acceptable, approved and start winning.
You can do all of these things, and still not be "winning".
You can do all of these things and still not have fulfillment, or joy.
You can do all of these things and still be held hostage in a life you hate.
Because that's not how any of this works.
God...who made up these rules? Clearly one of us needs to be following them.
Yet some of us still try.
You know, the "Play the game" approach.
People who play the game think that you can fool the system by trying to beat the rule makers at their own game - chasing dollars, achievement, titles, positions and proximity in the hope that they will will make you immune to the rules.
So they switch "strategies" and "play the game", only to find themselves frazzled and unfulfilled, depressed, exhausted, and probably, still on the outside looking in.
Playing the game requires that you give up too much of yourself to win it and it doesn't solve the real blocks that are in the way. Playing the game doesn't change the game. The game is inhumane ad out of integrity. Playing the game doesn't do anything but ensure that the same oppressive, messed up game keeps going.
Here's why playing the game, trying all the tactics and shifting their strategies doesn't work:
A funnel won't fix your feelings.
A template won't keep you from reacting from your triggers and trauma responses.
A system won't heal the things that keep you from showing up in the first place.
Execution doesn't create equity or help you become emotionally stable.
Hustling harder, being respectable and bypassing the real issues in your life doesn't erase the realities of the culture of oppression or make them disappear.
You already know this...because you've tried.
You've been trying for a while.
You've taken the classes, you've built the systems, and it still isn't enough.
Hustling, “work ethic”, chasing capitalism, fake it till you make it and truing to be more “disciplined” to feel more worthy instead healing and aligning are some bullshit.
YOU DON'T NEED DISCIPLINE...YOU NEED DEVOTION.
You don't need more experience, certifications qualifications, or external validation.
You don't need to assimilate, conform, shrink yourself further or fall in line.
You don't need to compromise your integrity, you need to cling to it.
Get comfortable living from a place of true integrity and alignment and get moving.
Cultivate a life you love and devote yourself to it.
Embody YOUR vision and values(not just some wack, pithy mission statement), and live and work with those at the center of your praxis.
Start showing up unapologetically and authentically.
Don't just change the game. Divest from the game.
Retire from trying to live up to someone else standard...BE the standard.
IN SHORT...BE MORE AUDACIOUS.
